You want to play with the christmas lights. The only real problem with Mets is that you have to serve all the divisions. You might be in Stamford this month. Next month you will be stuck in Harmon. The good side of railroading. The pay and benifits are excellent.
Good luck.
the training officer guy gave a speech about "if you live in CT you will work at grand central, and if you live in new jersey, you will work in new haven"
not exactly my preference or top pick, but its a good paying job that i can fall back on if i dont find something better. i keep checking amtrak to see what they have to offer.
morning all, had to get up at the buttcrack of dawn for an 830 dentist appointment. I f**king hate getting teeth drilled. even with earphones on hooked up to a radio, and headphones (the kind used for mowing) I still hear that @#%#$^$# drill. but, its done, and if the weather holds out, were going to the farmington river for some tubing. 5 not so stable guys tubing...oh boy.
look what I caught this morning at about quarter of 1. I was radio chasing it for about a half hour. (radio chasing is a term I just made up for basically listening to it on the radio trying to find out where it was and cussing when I couldnt find it). this is as rare as finding a needle in a hay stack: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wseRgg0z54I
hey ladies,
... its also going to be a LONG commute to stratford (or stamford?) ...
That would be Stamford, the city I work in.
I doubt you would want to move for the job, but you can ride the train to work for free and catch sleep on the train as you can.
I believe you have to change trains at New Haven.
The bigger problem will be getting from a station to a maintenance facility.
Google Maps Stamford and you'll find the maintenance facility close to the station.
The other maintenance yards are not necessarily in such close proximity.
Dave, double posts.
Pete, its sprinkling on and off here.
tubing today basically consisted of 3 grown men floating on innertubs down a river cursing like truckdriving sailors for no reason and cracking stupid jokes. lol
