evening all. what a day. mowed a lawn today and it turned into a "bring this here, take this stuff to the dump, trim the hedges..." kinda job. and on my way to the dump, this came in; http://www.theday.com/re.aspx?re=0a7...0-1ac529501b9d
it was a tad bit warm today. worst part is, the dump closed while I was in the shower, and wont open again till thurs so that s**t is still in my truck.... oh well.....
I've always been interested in the arched roof barns, do those barns have a more definitive name?
I believe it's known as a dutch barn.
That barn was built by volunteers except for 3 paid men. The old barn burnt down when my dad was little. At one point they had I believe two 8 man crews putting the roof on that barn when it was being built. They had to take one crew down because the roof was flexing too much due to the weight.
It's part-way through being re-painted. It really needs a new roof, but it's VERY expensive to put a roof on that much barn.
Rich I could've told you the problem with your exhaust even before you bought it.
It's a Banks product! My MBRP came with everything except the 5/8" wrench to put it together.
And if you give me a few minutes I'll get some pictures loaded up that I took today.
Pete, thanks for your thoughtfullness. I appreciate the comment (why don't you pour salt on my wound), but is the MBRP stainless? I couldn't find one for my vehicle in stainless steel when I went with Banks. Just because you have a red a$$ for Banks doesn't mean their stuff is junk. I will admit, I'm beginning to wonder. Who in their right mind would protect the threaded studs with cardboard sleeves and not include two nuts for the same studs??? That is what I told the salesman yesterday, I followed up with, and who would use 10 year old nuts on new studs??? For the $400+ I paid for the system, they could at least include two M10-1.5 metric flange face nuts.
Yes sir my MBRP is stainless from the turbo back to the tip.
And I don't like Banks products because I don't like Gail Banks.
Nor do I like overpriced smoke and mirrors products.
I got a 4" MBRP stainless absolute best I could get for somewhere around 500$ from Clay at Riffraff Diesel Performance.
And it sounds pretty dang sweet too.
I stand corrected on the stainless steel exhaust by MBRP.
On another note:
The wife and I went to the Rock Star Energy Drink Meyhem Festival at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA yesterday. Needless to say, I'm at work with only 3 hours of sleep. The event featured 'Bullet for my Valentine' from Wales, Slayer, Marolin Manson, Killswitch Engage from Boston, and many other up and coming heavy metal head banger bands. It was fun, my ears are still ringing. The alarm clock rang for 1/2 hour before my wife finally woke me up. If you like this kind of thing, the next event is at the Comcast Center in Hartford this Saturday
