battery cables

this is probably a number dummy question but anyone with the right answer can jump on it too. what is the stock battery cable length for a 79 f 250 ranger with a 351 modified 2 wd 4 speed?

You can get away with a +Positive cable of 1 foot, the -Negative 2.5 feet.

If you are getting new cables, buy the biggest (lowest number gauge) you can afford.

I use 00 welding cable. That includes the starter as well.

Single or dual battery? Since you didn't say, I'll go with single.

D1PZ14300S .. Battery Cable to Ground / 34" Long / #1 Gauge Wire (Motorcraft 6341)

I don't see why, it appears to have the right "jiggle" to it!
