Does anyone know where the antanna or brain box is for the remote door locks? Mine only work sometimes and I changed the batterys and everything. Or do I need to reprogram since I changed the batterys?

I just installed that remote keypad today. Took about 60 seconds to program my fobs and the keypad itself. My 2000 just takes 5 cycles.

It would be your VSM, which is located behind and below the radio up under the dash. If you try to change that, you'll have to visit the dealer to have them re-program it for you. It's not a plug and play device.

Its a great item too. Took almost no time to program the fobs and the keypad. Just make sure you have all the fobs with you when you program it. The instructions with it are awesome so you will be fine.

I looked for many, many hours for one for my new 2010 Tundra Crewmax and this is the ONLY one I found that did not require cutting my door or drilling to run the wires. Another big plus for this model was that I was able to install myself, so I didn't have to drop off at a stereo shop, etc to get installed like would have been required for all the other systems I saw... After having one in my 2006 Ford F150, I really can't say how handy a feature this is to have... especially if you have small kids...
