Looking at adding cab lights to my 08 250, who has done this what is needed? Where is a good place to look for a light kit, also should i have the switch wired into the light switch or upfitter switches?
I would think that since the cab on the 08 is the same as the 99-07 it would be the same for a install. I bought my lights from ebay and they are OEM Ford parts. They cost me $97.00. Recon makes some nice aftermarkets a lot of the guys have used also. Keep in mind that there is a differnt harness for the lights if you have a overhead console or if you don't. Motoman has a write up on the install if you search it he will tell you the measurements. Here is a link for the ones I bought. It says to 07 but I would think the only difference would be the plug on the harness, you would have to cut it off and just wire it into the running lights on the passenger lick panel. If it won't work get a hold of Ed the parts guy at Y2Kfordparts.com, he would get you exactly what you need.
1. First link is the ebay lights I bought that I think will work.
2. Second is Y2Kfordparts.com (talk to ed)
3. Third is Motomans website for the install
Another option would be Pacer, www.pacerperformance.com/
They make clear and smoked lamps. I recall jobber being in the $50 range, but that was several years ago. Install is pretty simple, as long as you don't mind drilling holes in the roof. I would pick up some strip caulk before the install.
