hey guys, my truck broke down today. i was sitting in my friends driveway when his mom stopped by to visit and needed the driveway and truck wouldnt start, so i push the clutch in and let it roll out of the driveway. i noticed the WTS wasnt lit and with the knowledge i gained here i unplugged the fuel bowl heater and swapped in a good fuse. but before i could do this we had to push my truck out of the road into the grass so i pushed as my friend turned the wheel. well, i guess it built up pressure and puked all the fluid out of the PS pump and whining really bad.... so i pulled into the gas station and all they had for atf was TYPE F and i believe its supposed to have dex/merc correct? well it stopped whining almost completely, what do i need to do next? flush it? o and btw the dip stick for the pump REAKED of burnt ATF..... thanks in advance for any advice you guys have...you guys rock.
X2, it will stop all the whining and make the steering effort a little less.
3X on the synthetic, also in the instructions above pay very close attention to where it says to make sure the reservoir is kept full, i didn't do this and it took for ever to get all the air out.
sorry for the double post, cant figure out how to edit my last post lol...... anyway i was just wondering if it was ok just to leave to fuel bowl heater unplugged all the time...because i live in fl i dont think i really need it and if it aint hurting anything ill leave it alone.
