power steering pump
my pump has started leaking out of the pulley shaft and just started making more whining sounds my question is i didn't know that it wasn't suppose to use power steering fluid an instead ATF so im guessing thats why its whining but could that also be why its leaking if i flush it and us ATF will it stop leaking and whining if no i have another pump but not sure of its condition any help would be appreciated

Although the whine could be from Air, the seal will not re-seal itself.

You can buy rebuild/seal kits, it's hardly worth it, get a new/rebuilt one.

Get a new one. Azone carries the tool to get the pulley on/off. Not a big deal.
