Had several problems with it. Got moisture in it so I took it apart and sealed it with some silicone. Then it got to where when I turned it on, it was just fuzz on the screen sometimes. I finally gave up on it and took it out.
I remember when guys were posting moisture had gotten in to the housing so when I did my install, I took it apart too and sealed it with silicone.
I wonder if the water already caused enough damage that it just degraded quickly.
i installed one on my old F250, and it was an outside parked truck, never had an issue to the day i traded the truck for a Harley! had it on there for quite a while.... maybe a year(ish)!
i still have one on the shelf. i bought 2, one for the F250, one for the Excursion, installed the one on the F250 but didn't on the Ex cause i "though" i was going to sell the truck, but still have it...... so i guess i need to go ahead and install it, lol!

When I bought two I had the X and my Suburban, but the Sub is gone now so I should only need one. I'm not going to put the other back up camera in the Smart car or my Eldo. Does this mean that when I find them I'm going to sell the extra? Kind of stupid not to...

So, since the last chapter was published I lost both of them again. And moved. And over seven years later I have found them again. And this time the Mighty X is going to get a back up camera. Hopefully one of them still works. I've driven so many rental cars with back up cameras that it almost seems odd to not have that. I now have the entire kit sitting in the garage sink so I can't lose it again. The saga continues...
