Not sure if anyone else had tried this but the power cord was not long enough to run around the window column to tap in under the dash so I tapped into my auto dimming rear view mirror. installed mine on my visor...

I was told by my local Ford shop that they could install the rearview mirror with the backup monitor built-in. It displays in the mirror, when you switch to reverse.
Has anyone tried this?
For years, I have a $99 from Pep-boys (installed) with a little monitor. Greatest investment I made, as backin up into the storage unit and hitching up the boat trailer is great. The monitor has clips that slip into the air condition vent, and I plug into one of the D/C ports. Only problem is that my FOB doesn't work when that monitor is powered on, so I have to be right up next to the truck to lock/unlock the doors.
Has anyone tried this?

I was looking for one at a local Sams. They told me that they were distributed to Sams for Christmas and that was it. I was told there are a few still out there at other stores, but they wouldn't ship store to store. Anyway if someone buys a few and has one laying around I would be willing to buy one off of you.

Certainly not when I search Sams Club now. I see a Peak system similar to the one in this thread except it has a 2.4" screen for $74.72, and a Clover system with a 7" screen for $242.72!

I wonder if the other guys who bought one had a similar short life. I use mine all the time and it's still going strong.

Had several problems with it. Got moisture in it so I took it apart and sealed it with some silicone. Then it got to where when I turned it on, it was just fuzz on the screen sometimes. I finally gave up on it and took it out.
