And thanks for the link

Edit I see in the link that it comes with new u-bolts, never mind lol
Make sure you torque the U-bolts, Then re-torque them after about hundred miles. I was surprised on how loose mine where.

I got mine from Sanderson welding in MN. He is on Ebay. Think I payed about $120. I called him and told him NOT to weld them together. New u-bolts and center bolts. I like em, but... they sure we're a pain to do by yourself.

I can understand replacing your springs, but why do you also have to replace your mini-spring pack?

Anyways, since you are going to be replacing your springs, you can take your old springs and cut them down and build your own mini-spring pack. I did; works great.

Any spring shop can provide the spring pins and U-bolts.

The vast, vast majority of our trucks do not. They are the stock springs for this vintage F-550, and other than that were only installed on trucks special ordered with a snow plow package. Since Ford never approved the diesel trucks for snow plow use, you'll be pretty hard pressed to find a 250/350 diesel with x codes.

Thanks for the info Scott. I didn't figure I had them cause it already had a leveling kit on when I bought it. I've heard tons of people talk about them but really had no idea what the x-codes were.

Why not? I figured if Im replacing the springs I might as well replace the mini spring pack for piece of mind since it was on there when I bought the truck and I know nothing about it.

I dont have the tools to cut through them here, but thats a good idea Ill see if anyone I know has the tools to do it.
