Help with a tire rub situation

So I leveled my 2004 f350 with zone mini pack leveling helper spring things that have about 6 springs in the mini pack. They leveled the truck well but now my new fat tires are rubbing the spring. They rub on the rear U shaped strap that is part of the mini pack that indexes the long spring to the factory springs. My wheels are -6 offset which apparently isn't enough.

So my question is how to eliminate the rub. I can put spacer on wheels but obviously am not thrilled about that idea.

Could I cut the U bracket off the mini pack? Or can it be moved forward a little?

What are your concerns with spacers? Too much stress on other components?
It's a heavy duty truck, all components should handle a little more stress.

Yeah like just general wheel concentricity or wobble problems more than any thing else. The tire guy was looking and seemed to think a 1/4" might do it or at least lessen it.
I could get over it if people seem to think it's okay I'm just weary after having vibration issues on several vehicles over the years. Plus, these rims are lug centric anyway because aftermarket.

Okay don't laugh but I was thinking what if I glued a strip of 36 grit sand paper on the sprint strap to clearance the tire a little?

I guess I could get off my *** and machine my own hub centric spacer rings. I am a machinist after all.

1/4 inch wheel spacers probably don't exist. I think 1 1/2 inch is the thinnest you can buy.
The sand paper thing doesn't sound like a reliable solution, probably wouldn't get even compression and would cause more problems.

yes spacers exist down to 1/8". Adapters are thicker and use their own studs, spacers are just metal plates with holes and rely on the factory studs being long enough. They both seem to have their down sides.

I guess I was thinking adapters. As long as you can re-center your wheels using spacers then you should use them. If you can't re-center your wheels with spacers then use adapters. I would do that before messing with the springs.
