Boost gauge T piece

I got me a brass T piece to tap into the boost line for my gauge
Do you have to use tape on the fittings.
If so will plumbers tape do or is there a special type for this application

Brass on Brass you shouldnt need tape.. I just do out of habit. I would however use it between the steel and brass..As well as the steel on steel.

I agree, just tape the steel on brass fitting.
