Depends on your definition of "work". Yes it might stop them from punching out the lock, but no it will never stop them from breaking a window. You have to figure they will first tear up your door and handle, and then proceed to break your window and take your stuff. My advice to you would be to get a good alarm system that alerts you when someone is within a very small distance of the car.

They can still punch the lock out, however it prevents them from accessing the lock rod that unlocks the door. It also prevents them from prying up the door handle and acessing the lock rod. I have them on my truck and I've also cut the lock rods, and put some rear door handles up front so there is no lock to punch out in the first place.

Unless there is something they really really want they will probably pass on your vehicle. One of the best theft deterrants is to tint your windows and keep valuables out of sight.

A 2way alarm is also good as it will alert you when your alarm is going off. I don't recommend using a proximity sensor that will go off whenever someone is within a small distance as this will be a nuisance whenever a cat or dog walks by and someone parks next to you is getting in and out of their car.

i break the windows! hah naw if the battery is too dead to unlock the doors w/ the remote or the keypad I can either A.) hook some jumper cables up to the starter underneath the truck and use the remote or keypad or B.) pry the door back with a wedge and a rod to pull the door handle.

I did screw myself one time though when I left the batteries disconnected overnight and closed the hood. Never happened again though.

well i have just resorted to a disabling system so they can't take the truck. I usually don't leave anything in it that is worth taking.

I have the stickers on the windows too so i would assume that your more savy car thiefs will move on if there intentions are to take the truck.

The one thing I have on my dash is my martial arts sticker. It is the first thing a would be thief sees. So I have never had a problem. Knock on wood.

A S&W sticker would be good too.

How do you disable it? (I don't need your address). Just need the tip.

Not really...a good friend of mine thought it would be safer to put a "Protected by Smith & Wesson" sticker on his truck and someone broke in and trashed the inside looking for the gun. And he didn't even have one in there.
