There is no number between 131 and F260... So i guess it doesnt matter what I paint it then. Doesn't matter. Look under the seat to see what the original color was.
When trucks are repainted, usually no one bothers to repaint under the seat.
Thanks for the info on the fenders though. One last question before I start getting dirty, what does medium biege cruch vinyl mean and bar vinyl?
Medium beige vinyl is the color of the seat upholstery.
Crush vinyl is the type of vinyl used. Bar vinyl is what Ford called the pattern.
This upholstery may be availablle from smsautofabrics.com.
Ok guys need more help. Question one is why can't I find any info on the sencond gas tank that was in the bed? Was it a dealer option or factory? Also I cannot find what no paint code means anywhere. Last but not least did a 67 300 have an oil bath air cleaner or what was on it I cannot find any info on this either, but found a 71 with a complete air cleaner, but it is not oil bath. Last but not least how do you tell if it has "california" or federal emsissions? Any help is still appreciated. I did find a source for fatory tires though 8x16.5..

The only factory auxillary gas tank available was a 25 gallon tank that mounted on the drivers side, under the bed, inside the left frame rail.
The filler neck pokes thru the quarter panel near the top of the bed, just behind the cab (1967/70).
Ford did not offer a fuel tank mounted inside the bed. This type of tank is an aftermarket installed by a previous owner.
Here on the west coast, the Fey Bumper Company offered all sorts of aftermarket tanks.

If there is no COLOR code listed on the Warranty Plate, the truck was painted a non standard color.
Your truck was sold new in CA, so it has CA emissions equipment.
1965/67 F100/350's w/240/300 I-6's came with an oil bath air cleaner, it's the same for these three years, was also used 1968/72.
The hole is on the drivers side near the top of the side of the bed. Nothing else is there though and it does not have a hole through the bottom of the bed so I guess it is after market. Was the switch to switch between tanks located on the entry way floor beside the seat also aftermarket numbers? I appreciate you help on this. Got any sources for a air cleaner?

The only hole in the sheetmetal for the factory installed 25 gallon auxillary tank...is for the filler neck...which on 1967/70 F100/350's (**) was installed in the left quarter panel about one foot back from the cab, about 3 inches below the leading edge of the quarter panel.
Looking at the drivers side of the truck...the auxillary tank's gas cap is inline...slightly below the left door handle.
The valve on the floor just inside the cab is prolly close to where the factory valve was installed.
In addition to the valve used to switch the tanks, the factory installed auxillary tank had a switch mounted under the dash on a bracket...left side of the steering column...used to switch the dash fuel gauge from one tank to the other.
Oil bath air cleaners...(sigh)....there's a bunch of different ones: Econolines used one style, F100/350's another, F500 and larger trucks...still another!
This is the original:
C5TZ9600D .. Oil Bath Air Cleaner / 12.63" O.D. / 4.33" high / Fits: 1965/72 F100/350's with 240/300 engines.
No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
** 1971/72's had the filler neck mounted on the left quarter panel...about one foot back from the cab, BELOW the scallop line (bumpside).
Ok, the secondary filler neck is about where you say it's supposed to be, as for the switch to switch senders I don't know about this as the truck is at my shop and i'm not driving an hour round trip just for that. I can not find any info in the options for the truck of a scondary gas tank though. Is there any way to tell what options it came with/ I saw options like western mirrors, etc... this will be my first go round trying to restore anything and I wanna do it right, but have run into all kinds of road blocks on info. The local ford dealer won't even talk to me about it, but I can still order rims for my 49 ford tractor through them ......
No one? Also I found the aux gas tank setup in north texas for $175 woo hoo. My truck is boxwood green anyone knwo how it'd becopme this color in 67 when the color wasnt offered for a couple more years or so?
