I have a 2004 F150 4x4 Automatic. When the trans shifts to overdrive it feels like neutral.When i turn off the overdrive it runs through the gears fine.NO codes came up.Any help would be appreciated

 

The OD band is burnt or broken, or the overdrive servo has blown out of the case due to a problem with the snap ring that holds into place. Unfortunately this means that it will have to come out to be repaired, the overdrive servo wont index the band unless it is held into place from the inside, so you cant just put it back in.

f150 4speed over drive on 1993, keeps kicking out of geer. mounts ok, found niddle bearings bad, replaced them also. still kicking out

 

Mach1Murph what was the outcome of your issue? I also have 2004 F150 that just started to have the same issue.

 

My'04 just came up with the same failure this week, have you resolved this ?

My issue was the Od ring. It was covered under warranty.
