My '82 351 LTD had the three connector DSII module and I replaced it with the 2 connector module when I swapped carbs (when the VV died). The 2 pin connector controls timing. I just unplugged the MCU, re-curved the distributer and reset the initial where I wanted it. The emission control equipment was pretty much hacked to death on that car by the PO, the Cumberland, MD Sheriff’s office... Go figure!
