Explorer grab / grip handles for OBS
Anyone installed grab / grip handles in their rig? Found a couple of links elsewhere. Hinted towards 02-05 Explorer handles. Here are some pics of what I'm looking for. I'll call my dependable parts guy at the dealer next week. Just wanted to check if anyone has done or seen these before. Seems the link is Sam Millers installation.

About a year ago a member posted instructions on installing grab bars, which vehicle to use as a donor and how to reinforce the mounting behind the the grab bar.
I don't recall if I saved it or not will do a search.

I have had the handles for about 2 years but still haven't installed them....ooops. Wife asked me about them the other day. They just don't make me go faster so they are low on the list

The "well nuts" in your photos look like they are made of rubber, are they?
I have a bunch of metal well nuts and the insert tool. What vehicle are the grab bars from?

The well nuts in Sam's pictures are rubber. I used the same type when I put the handle in mine. That was 6 years ago and they are holding up just fine.

OK, I just searched the archives on TDS and found one of Sam's posts about the handles in his pics. They are from an 80-84 Subaru.

Here is a 97 Explorer picture of a grab handle. might be a option that you could make work. Check my site for prices and enter part numbers in the search field with no spaces or dashes.
