I went to walmat and got a big bucket. To measure it out, I used a postal scale. And do yourseld a favor and add an extra oz per tire. It was supposed to be 10oz for my sd tires and I ended up with a slight vibration at 45mph. Went back and added 1oz per tire for a total of 11oz/tire and all is good now.
yeak "postal scale" is the cover ahah...in that case i have lots of "postal scales" LOL just kidding, who needs more than one anyway, right?
went to kal tire for an official quote and it went from around $1700 down to $1304.88 that and i also found out i will be the first person in Canada to order a ground hawg tire LOL, they are so "new" that the manager called the head office and asked and they were like uhhh, ummm, uhhhh, ummmm, WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!, kal tire has never sold a set...i feel special well it will definitely turn heads cause i have never seen this tire in person either so it will be "new" , not like the bogger lol. every 3rd truck has boggers up here...problem with that, there are no sets in Canada meaning they might be a while
my welder called and again it was missed...and im getting pissed, see my mad rymes G-dawg!, ha lame...anyway he supposed to be calling back tomorrow again, thats what his message says anyway
my buddy out on the farm is finished his harvest so looks like the truck wil lbe going there for welding, and i just now find out that the place im going to for the lift has a welder...thanks for the info gf .... anyway no news on location of my ground hawgs, hes getting the expressed in for me and want them by the end of next week...
yeah that hook will never hold up if you get stuck with ground hawgs lol
yeah if i do manage to get stuck with those hawgs those little hooks are pretty well hopeless...but they worked great all winter pulling people out of snow banks hahah...including TWO fullsize chevys a car and a dodge pickup never saw a stuck ford truck ...OH and i almost forgot, an 83 1ton dually 4x4 chevy loaded with firewood in a box that had side boards up to the height of the cab, the load was level with that...he had himself dug down a good 6 " before i got there
not too sure when this week i have more than one thing to work out with that...gotta see still...
HEY STOP RIGHT THERE!!!!!! Your trac bar is upside down...... that curve at the axle end goes down on a stock pickup.. thats why it sits against the diff cover like that.. if u flip it top for bottom it will be able to fall to the floor...
if u look at it from one side does it bend forward or back at all? it shouldnt be perfectly strait.....
NO NO NOOOO that trac bar is just chillin there haha...i have it set up with the brackets so that it will be within single digit degrees of the drag from my best estimates...not only that but running it like that allows it to clear the x-member and the diff unless i flex out hard, the other "normal" way it runs straight into the x member at one end AND the coil and the angles wouldnt even come close, i have spent lots of time measuring studying adjusting and all out hair pulling on this one to get the best fit possible...and yes, it does have the bend in it
if i can find a way to keep it up there i will grab some pics of the geometry tomorrow...i am also gonna try and get it welded up tomorrow depending if i can get a trailer or not
