So what would I need to do to be able to remove the track bar? Get more leafs up front?
Shackle reversal kit is a good start.
The front swing shackle is one of the reasons you have a trac bar to begin with. Solve this problem, and you will solve other problems as well.
well...this is taking longer than i was hoping, they "never got around" to my truck yesterday and they might not do so today either but there is hope...that and the truck my tires are supposedly on did not arrive yesterday as i was told because it got pushed back due to the holiday monday, so they might be here today round 3:30 p.m. haha...
and of course in light of this we got a good 2-3" of snow last night, thats minor, but the first bit melted when it hit the pavement so now theres a thin layer of ice, then a layer of cold slush and then 2" of snow combined with a 2wd longbed single cab truck with summer tires AND down hill angle parking at the school, that was fun this morning i wound up going sideways before backward but i got out, good thing i parked where i had no other vehicles beside me or i would have been screwed... i might throw my ground hawgs in the back for winter weight till i get the 4x4 insured
u got no tire chains? Or sum bags of sand? A old motor works well too. Lol
well if people would get their heads outta their asses id have my 4x4 on 35" hawgs right now...but noooo oh sorry we forgot your inspection today and ohhhhh my bad now your tires wont be in till NEXT monday....welll fuuuuuuck youuu...getting annoying, just cause they get paid by the hour dont mean i got all month
and just to clarify, still no word on blue and my tires get pushed back yet again to monday now...
Btw.. putting ground hawgs in the back is a good way to get them stolen. Maybe chain them to your truck. Otherwise I wouldn't risk that lol.
whats today?...not monday?...and that was the plan
but they finally got my inspection done and again they failed it...half the stuff they called this time was just fixed from the first one?...
i was hoping my tie rod would pass, well no, of course not, that would make my life better, so no it has to fail...so thats a $150 dollar bill BUT it will be in saturday morning...
oh and yeah they nailed me cause my caster is off...mmmmhhhmmmm yeah...good news is i can get 7* bushings and fix that problem till i build new brackets for it, bad news is, who has 7* bushings...NO ONE, " i have 4* bushings"...no, i asked for 7*...and no one has an idea of how far away they are or anything , and no one who says they will call me back has actually called me back yet, its been 5 hours back to this again...i thought i was done with the bull****, but it never ends, just never ends
im getting a transit sticker for it tomorrow and i get to drive it to the shop...i was told i couldnt get a transit sticker cause it was wrote off, but the tech said "thats bull****!" they get write off vehicles all the time with transit stickers on em, to bad i cant remember who told me that or id slap them for telling me that, i coulda drove it to coaldale rather than trailered it
so now im going to plop it at the shop sometime this weekend and once ive collected all my parts the bossman says we might be able to arrange a sunday i can come in a finish the repairs
and ive decided with the amount of money time and blood i have put into this truck i literally will never be able to sell it for enough $$$ to cover all that, si i am taking this thing to the grave with me, if it was still legal it would be my grave LOL
and the truck my tires are supposedly on did not arrive yesterday as i was told because it got pushed back due to the holiday monday, so they might be here today round 3:30 p.m. haha...
So I thought maybe it would be there on the 15th. Who knows.
Maybe its good that you get all that stuff inspected, wouldn't want to lose a front axle. :P

well everything but caster passed so i guess i gone and done sumfin rite huh?
7* bushings are 5-7 days away from monday...
i have a question though...they didnt do the allignment yet cause the caster is out, but when they checked it they used 89-96 specs for comparison, are these the same a 78/79 specs...the numbers are...
caster 2.0*, 6.0*...mine is at -0.5, only 2.5* off
camber -0.3*, 0.8*...mine is at 0.6* GOOD!
Toe -1/16th, 1/16th inch...im at 3/32 and 1/8...but it wasnt listed as a problem so im assuming that they are gonna fix that when they align it?
Does it even matter if the specs are different? You need to change to the 7* bushings anyways don't you?
Oh btw.. i'm not considering this SAS done until its all legal... so I only have eight pages to go.
So just to clarify, the tires will be here monday?
it is very driveable without, drove it from coaldale to lethbridge this morning, bout 13 whole kms but 100 km/h none the less...truck handles nice SLIGHT vibration at about 50km/h but thats it, keeps in a straight line till you hit a bump lol good ole solid axle, i expected that, it handles the corners very nicely too, felt similar to my low 2wd with dual sway bars...rides like a friggin gravel truck on the highway though, if the SAS wasnt enough the 6" leafs out back sure were LOL
i have no comment on the tires, every time i tell you guys when they say they will be here they dont show up, like a gynx...and to prove my point, the tie rod i told you guys was gonna be here this morning, never got ordered...so its not here
so in other words no more parts will be here until pics of them are on this site LOL
