Starmilt would probably tell you that it's too bad your not getting that free pipe from a guy with a Dodge in the driveway. They start sooooo easy the starter will probably never wear out.
come see how easy my idi starts, they all start good if every thing is right on them, mine always fires off on the 2nd-3rd turn of the motor, but here recintley i have been noticing it is getting a little harder to crank, and runs a little ruff for a few seconds, so i think i got a couple bad glowplugs.
Joe I have never said I hated dodges, in fact I have always liked mopar power plants.
The slant six was probably as reliable a motor ever built 318'S were great motors as was the 340's 383's and 440's.
When I was younger the troopers had 440's but 5 miles of highway and they could never see where my goat turned off though.lol
I was just never a fan of mopar bodies. The 69 roadrunners at speeds of 120 or more the ripples in the hood would cause you to get seasick.
the dodge pickups you could always put all four fingers at the top of the door and slam it on them and still remove your hand with no pain. (demonstreted this several times to friends)
In 94 when they changed the body style I had high hopes that this new body cured those problems (nope) you could still stick a 3/8's rebar electric fence post through the top of the door to unlock it (no need for slim jims).
So even though I liked the motors I never was crazy about the bodys.
Besides who wants to drive somrthing that laughs at you every time you hit the starter.lol
