Water pump ?

I just did my water pump this week. Not to bad of a job. These are the instructions that I used: Diesel-Central.com the technical source for Diesel Truck information, Truck Pulling, and Drag Racing plus I bugged Pat with a few questions before I read the instructions!
I used a 19" vise grip style chain wrench to hold the pulley.

I just replaced my water pump. Not too bad of job. The hardest part for me was trying to hold the waterpump pulley so I could remove the fan clutch. If you have a Car Quest close to you they sell the Airtex New water pump and include a lifetime warranty for $140.00. I also replaced all the hoses and the belt at the same time. My truck had 150,000 miles on it so I felt the belt and hoses needed to be changed. I also switched my truck over to Shell Rotella ELC Coolant. Good Luck!
