Happy birthday Kacy.
If anyone is interested, there is a 76 or 77 Ford longbed 4x4 for sale here in Nixa. I couldn't get a good look at it since traffic was murder at the time I passed it. It's copper/tan and what I saw was good shape except for a bit of damage on the right side bed.
It's an 86 F150. 300 cu straight six. Automatic 2wd. No bells or whistles, but I got it on the inexpensive side.
Original owner drove it for 20 years...passed it on to his son. Good, bright kid, but not mechanically inclined at all. Truck has suffered from lots of neglect for the last three or four years.
It needs lots of TLC, but has NO major problems.
So far, I've done plugs and wires and it now fires on all six cylinders.
I've done a thermostat, which allows the truck to warm up to operating temperature.
I've identified three major vacuum leaks and fixed two of them...I'll get to the other one this weekend.
I spent this evening fixing the drivers side window and getting the tailgate operational again.
OK, so she's not the prettiest...she was cheap and runs.
...and you just KNOW that I'm having a ball applying the elbow grease!
