Call Ches a Whaaaam-bu-lance and he'll just have to wait like the rest of us. May start un hooking things on the blue truck tomorrow. Supposed to be nice. I wuss out pretty fast in the cold and wet weather.
Bob
It's happening as we speak. It's crappy outside, about 45. dark and still rainning. But no Tornado's so far. Tim and I are hoping to have fluids drained today, maybe have somethings unhooked/off. Lee/2fords may be over tomorrow afternoon sometime. Have a neighbor checking on barrowing a cherry picker from a buddy of his. If all goes really well. I'd like to have the other engine on the stand, and donor in the truck.
OK Rich, we did manage to get a few more things done today befor wussing out. If the other is what I thought it to be when we got it we'll drive it to our g2g. Bob
I got the garage door back up today, So i can now lock my garage again after 3 month. Had to take parts from both doors to make one door work. The other door is held up with clamps and dose not open. But my tools and ford truck parts are safe again.
Hey Ches, Have you treind the Home depot web site, they have a how to section Or www.hgtv.com. I don't know for sure if they would have the info. you need. But it's worth a shot.
I had a friend that installed doors, but he ripped me off so I don't call him a friend anymore. I can give you his number, but he likes to charge shop prices, to do any work.
Well it would have been nice if we were able to complete our project yesterday. But we did get done what I was atleast hoping for. The donor engine is set in, tranny, torque converter starter, motor mounts all in and tight.
Rainning again today, so we should be able to finish everything up by next weekend weather permitting.
Lee thanks again for coming out and dealling with me.
Bob
Holy cow you are jamming on the swap, remember to triple ck everything before you turn the key. I know you will, hate to have any thing go wrong for you.
