I just did a koer code pull on my 95 f150, 351, e4od trans. I got a code 632- overdrive cancel switch not changing state... I did a koeo test and got a 452-vss/psom code. are these two related? if I change the tps, psom, and the vss will this most likely fix the 632 code or am in to a whole new thing here? any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks
First let me say I am not a transmission expert, especially on the E4OD. There are some real experts that visit here regularly and may chime in.
However I think your 632 code is because you didn`t push the OD button correctly during the test.
The 452 does seem to indicate a fault with the speed sensor. You could try taking it out and cleaning it and check the wiring to it, including the plug connector and the wiring right down the left frame rail. When you have it out if you remove it completely and hold it away of any metal objects I think (memory not good) it should measure around 200-500 ohms if good. Also when you have it out try to see in or feel in to see if the exciter ring in the diff is OK.
Hope this helps.
thanks alot by the way for replying and helping me out... this trans has been causing me migranes for about a week now, hopefully just a vss or psom that needs fixing
I assume you are a diesel guy, IDI I think? So don`t feel bad.
KOER is checking the codes with Key On Engine Running, KOEO is Key On Engine Off.
Yup, Diesels for life, Mostly heavy equipment and trucks, Don't get me wrong, I do them gasser things to ... But only if it goes REAL fast on a closed course!
Though I have been away from the greasy fingernails doing computers for the last 20 years (Thanks M$) so I am way behind on all this new fancy talk and stuff.

Good man. If you have interest in the gas systems you may find fordfuelinjection.com worth looking at.
I have worked on some agri tractor and harvester diesels some years ago (not thru choice) and have a F250 6.9. When they go wrong I don`t know which is worse, computers or diesels!
