Miles, I almost forgot to ask with all the doings here but how is the no Copenhagen vigil going. I read a bit back and noticed that you had a rough day. You will find over time those days will get fewer and further between, just makes it rough when that monkey is digging into the back of your head. I know, been there done that, won in the end as even now with the stress that has been here I have not weakened and gone back to it and for any one else that is curious...........even though I cannot prove it except possibly being coherent in my writings I have NOT become a threat to my liquor cabinet nor have found interest in such. Life is short it seems at times and there is so many things I want to do and see yet.
Hope I' am not sounding like I' am bragging, I always kind of thought as hooked as I was on Copenhagen that I would never quit mostly out of fear of being unable to and yet after several failed attemps here I sit today tobacco free this past year and a half.
Good morning Marty, this is a strange day today with snow this morning I decided to stay here at the ranch as sometimes these spring snow's can get very treachurous here.
Beautiful in the morning and 2 feet of snow by evenning so here I sit by a nice warm fire plunking away on the keyboard so yes, I do believe this will be a good day.

Still staying quit Orin. Today is day 46. When I first quit is was nearly no stop that I felt the urge for some. Then I started to taper off to a few times a day and no it is more like once a day or every few days. Been good since that day last week where I really felt like some nicotine. Looking forward to day 50 on Friday.

I' am so glad and relieved to hear that Miles, I can never amagine one regretting quit on that stuff.
1) When I was in high school it was the cool thing to do and everyone either smoked or chewed so I felt the need to follow along. I no longer have friends that chew or smoke so I am not around it.
2) I was buying on $5 can per day from the gas station. When I was at the gas station I would also buy candy bars and pop, so the trip was costing me close to $10 a day plus the weight gain from the pop and candy.
Of the points that you made number 1 was most likely the biggest downfall as peer pressure within your group or mine as well at that time contributed heavly to chewing until the nicotine kicked in making it a full blown needful habit.
