The IPR is threaded and screws into the back of the HPOP,it has an o-ring at the base and it should be tight to keep it from leaking oil.

The coil is held onto the IPR by a sheetmatal nut.

If you can move the coil left to right you need to snug up the Tinnerman Nut, (from Ford shop manual: Tighten nut to 6 N-m (53 lb-in)).

When looking over the HPOP reservoir towards the fuel filter housing, the IPR will be on your right hand side of the HPOP. The IPR solenoid has a black two wire connector on it and at the rear of the solenoid there will be a tinnerman nut (made out of sheet metal). This is the nut that hold the IPR solenoid on and tight.
