IPR screen removal

Since I got everything off I pulled the ipr to check the screen. Which side would be dirty? If it's clean, do I have to remove it? Any tips on getting it off without breaking it?

If the outside tip end is clean I'd simply reinstall the IPR as long as it's good. I would not remove it. If it's got a little trash you might try cleaning it with a very soft bristle brush (I use a baby's tooth brush).

FYI--it snaps on and off with a small "O" type ring underneath, but if you take it off it might not fit tight when you reinstall it. The last one I did someone had done the same thing and the screen was laying loose inside the HPOP. Luckily it came out with no damage to the pump.
