GPR confusion

My Stock GPR started to crap out last night. So I went to Guzzles Page to get the part # for the stancor Relay. I ordered the Stancor one from Mouser. I then called my local NAPA to see if they had the cheep NAPA one in stock. I was going to buy the cheep napa one and put it in until the Stancor one came in then switch it out. The napa guy said it was hundred dollars. I then went back to Guzzles page and his page says the Stancor one was twice as much. This doesn't make any sense to me. Is Napa selling me the wrong relay. Does anybody have the part # for the Napa relay, if so how much should it be? Thank you in advance. Mike

I don't have the specifics for you but something does not sound right. I do not remember the Stancor being overly expensive let alone $200? Someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly.

IIRC it is a GPR110 Rons Power Stroke used a snow plow solenoid on his as is very happy with the result. Inexpensive also.

Edit:
Here is the link. The part was around $20

I believe NAPA sell 2 different relays 109 and 110. I think the 109 is cheaper (thought about $20-$30) The 109 mount holes are off by 90 degrees and wiring can be tight. Might search on GPR 109.

slowwww...

^^^^There's your answer. ^^^^

Napa GPR 109 = $25, GPR 110 = $100. Only difference it the mounting.
Ask for the GRP by vehicle make, the parts guy will want to sell you the #110.

I had the ST-36 from napa on mine (actually still have it) I think its like Ron's in that it's probably intended as a snow plow solenoid but it's rated the same as the stancor only mounts easier (200continous, 600 surge)

I'd pay the extra for the HD version. I bought the GPR109 about a year and a half ago and just logged on FTE to search for the part number because I'm sure mine is shot again.

GPR109 from napa. $20 or $30 for me also. Plus they excepted my AAA card which took off another 5. Ok to get by with but junk in the long run. I had two fail.

This link is from Mouser. Plus they sent me a book and the price is 47. + ship. Go here ->802-586-902

Not sure why your getting that high price. I just got mine last week. It took a week to get. Once you get it, it will shock you how nice it is and you will have a good feeling it will be the last time you touch it. It is built tough. Did i say thanks "guzzle" ? Thank you .. I love it.

Also.. Why don't use use your AIH relay for the time being. Untill the mouser comes in. AIH is mounted right in front of it. If the wires arn't long enough just move it back to the GP spot. And tape up the AIH wires. temporary. Then you won't spend anything on the Napa GPR.

I bought one off of Ebay for $42.95, it looks like the stock relay but the guy guarantees it for 3 years. I figure it will pay for itself then I'll get a better one in 3 years.

My local napa had gpr 109 for 37 bucks took about ten minutes to install works great. Now the new one make a buzzing sound and the truck fires right up. The stancor one is on order. Thanks for all the help the people on this site are the best.

Just swap it with your AIH relay (the one right in front of the GPR) That will work until you get the stancor or whatever else you decide on.

Glad that you got it up and running for now. The Stancor is on my "must list."
