I will accept your challenge

I order the 4UCAM GPS / backup camera yesterday. Hint, if you buy it from them through ebay, you get free shipping (saves $15).

I will try and report back in a week or 2 once I receive it and get it installed.

I just have to figure out the best way and location to mount that camera...

Heres some pics on how I mounted my rearview camera and monitor. The monitor has 2 inputs so I can get a 2nd cam for the back of the trailer. The 2nd photo doesn't show the bumper because of the shadow, I can see it but just not in the photo.

Looks good to me but I don't have that option. My screen only has a little slide clip on the back to attach to the suction cup mount. I wish it had slot like yours. I do appreciate it.

Downriver, just put on that base and take of the actual suction cup, and then zip around that.

Ive got an Audiovox camera I got at Circuit City a while back for like 79 bucks. Mounts on license plate and Im staring right at my ball. Works great for backing up to the trailers. I have a JVC head unit that has a LCD screen already in it so I just hooked it to the input and was off. I am having some power issues with it. I think the power wire is chaffed somewhere!

Quality is clear as can be!

That is a good idea but I don't have the wiring up by the mirror. When I go out to the truck at lunch I will see if I can take the suction cup part off and zip tie the arm to the mirror arm itself, hopefully if I can do that it will be out of the way of the mirror. I put the system in this morning shy of the monitor and it works great. I am waiting for my pic to come through on my email so I can show you the mount.

I received my 4UCAM GPS/backup camera yesterday. GPS system seems to work well. I am going to mount the backup camera this weekend. I am thinking of mounting it onto the hitch like suggested above. I just want to make sure I can put it back far enough to be out of the way but still be able to see the hitch area..... altough I thought mounting it a little higher would give me a better angle / view perspective????

Has anyone wired their monitors / GPS units to the upfitter switches for power instead of using the car adaptor plug?

Give me a day or two before you buy it to let you know how well it works. I know the mount doesn't impress me beings it would fall off the windshield everyplace I stuck it. That's why I need another place to mount it. I took the camera before I mounted it and sealed the cracks with black silicone to help protect it from the elements.
