A cap like this cost between 1200-2000 new/ Or you can save alot and buy a used one for 200-500 and have it painted or be lucky and find one the right color. I got luck and found this white one and a green one for my green truck

Wow now that looks mighty fine, that is the exact truck i was loking for when i found my flare side at a price i couldnt refuse. but with that said i am happy with mine, but i would have been a little more excited with the twin to yours Dieselbrad..
Depending on what you use them for, caps can be great. I had one on my '91 Ranger for a while but really it wasn't a good choice for what I needed. I also hated dealing with the vision thru all that glass, especially at night. I could have gotten away with a tonneau instead for my purposes. All that said, the right cap looks really good and can be really useful.
Mine was a fiberglass Leer, forget the exact style but it sloped up from front to back, sliding glass on the sides, lockable hatch. Was a very good quality cap and I got it dirt cheap from a neighbor that sold off his Ranger of the same year as mine for a Jeep and did not sell the cap with the truck. My truck was maroon with silver accents (the STX striping) so the fact that the cap was silver "sort of" matched...lol.
