Well i have a 1993 f250 7.3L IDI with 239000 miles. i have a crap loud of problems with it this winter starting and gelling up. It is getting time to do something with the motor it has come up wit a terrible knock in the motor and it has 0 power. i have a 460 that came out of a 1985 f250 that i have recently rebuilt to put in a old chore truck i have. i was wondering how big of a struggle it would be to put that 460 in my 93. If anybody has done this or a similar provect Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks
I would say that the odd and ends that you would have to get to do the swap would make it not so worth it. I would rebuild, or buy a gas powered truck and swap out your good parts/motor. These small things that you need to get always cost more than you first think...
All transmissions used in 93 trucks have an integral bell housing that is part of the transmission case, so no diesel transmissions will bolt to a gas motor of any displacement.
