7.3 ip
Had a guy put a used IP on now she gets fuel lock smokes like a train. Took her back to him he said the eng is gone nothing wrong with the pump he put on.Before I had the pump put on there was no power in her.wondering if the guy timed it right from what iam reading here thanks

I wonder how much the IP fuel setting is cranked up?
When the engine is cold when first started do you have a rattle that goes away when the engine warms up?
Rattle should be more pronounced with a slight depression of the throttle.
The rattle should quite when the fast idle kicks off.
What is the power like with the new pump?
Any change the air filter needs changed?
What are you meaning by fuel lock?
