Sounds like the gauge is messed up since you didn't mention a loss of power. If the turbo was fried you notice the loss.

even if your turbo was bad the temps would still be up, it's the enginge and fuel that produces the heat

if the turbo was shot the egt's would probably go up not down, i would say its a problem in the gauge

Maybe I got this all wrong but....

Bad turbo = Low boost
Low boost = Less fuel
Less fuel = low EGT's Which is = to Low power

That's why I asked if it was down on power.

Cuda, I think it's the other way around because the low readings from the MAP sensor would make it go into the default setting?

Without the charger your temps would be awfully high I'd imagine.

On my road tractors if they lose the turbo the power drops like a rock you usually will have a lot of white smoke (excess unburned fuel, due to not enough air in the mix) and the temps will be about the same or less as it its burning all the fuel. Id agree though its the gauge.

Like I said, could be wrong...the amount of fuel increases with the boost readings from the MAP. The MAP only goes into default when the MAP is bad not from a low boost readings. I never notices the EGT's when there was a MAP or a Boost issue.

Does your OTR truck have the same system as the PSD? HEUI style injection and a MAP.
