I have given up my Edge Evaluation and replaced it with an SCT system. The SCT can have an EGT probe installed to it but the cost is a bit higher than one would expect.
I like TelTek brand myself.. its the same gauges ran in alot of the tractor trailer rigs.. but they are a little pricey.. theyre backed by a lifetime warranty and made in the USA.. if you like analog though youll have to look elsewhere as they only make digital ones.. and it only comes in Red or Blue display..
Decent close to factory match for my XLT. I have one on the steering column, one to the right in the dash cover, and have done one in the left side dash cover. Could do an A-pillar pod if you wanted, I didn't because I use a suction mount on the windshield in that corner.
Quality pyrometers tend to be on the more expensive side of the aftermarket gauge spectrum in general. I also have an ISSPRO EV2, quite happy with their product and they stand behind it. I had one of their bad batches of thermocouples that manifested itself a few months ago, and the product was well outside of warranty. They still shipped me a replacement for free next day since I was towing through a few states, it was waiting at the overnight stop before I even got there.
I also like how the EV2's (maybe others as well) are programmable. I've got all three of them set to pop the warning LED at specific temperatures and pressures based on that particular gauge, which is handy. All three of my pillar gauges are a factory cluster match as well... Black face, white font, orange needles and green backlight.
Honestly, IMO, if you have be ability to monitor your EGTs with just the addition of a thermocouple, then do that route... It's going to be flat out cheaper.
