I don't get why you have to switch to electric fuel, but I did not read the article.
I would think it was some replacement parts for the pump to allow more volume though on the pump.

the overdrive will not be able to be installed with the stock fuel bowl in the way, hence needing at least a remote fuel filter, and at that pount, you might as well go to electric fuel if you're going to be running injectors big enough to have the need for the overdrive in the first place.
