48-50 repro grill
hi, has anyone used one of the reproduction f1 grills? everything i have seen used so far has been either bent or rotted...just thinking time spent on reworking one...might be worth getting a "new" one.. just wondering how the quality/fit seems to be... any thoughts?? thanks...r

I think the only repops are fiberglass. You might be able to buy the individual cross bars in steel but I'm not sure.
If you haven't already done so you should order a whole slew of catalogs from the various vendors;

hi, thanks for the reply, i started wondering if the grills were glass as soon as i posted this question. im gonna call tomorrow to verify...if they are glass ill keep looking around for a better original.. if anyone has one dont hesitate to contact me... thanks...r

I just saw a catalog from Obsolete Ford Parts Co. They list a grille assemble for a 48-50- F-1. They claim it is assembled from individual pieces like the original. thanks for the replies, if all goes well im taking a roadtrip this saturday am to a guy CT that has a few to choose from. i just want a better starting platform then what i have w/ mine... its pretty rough... thanks for the help.....r
