I followed a link to A1 auto and found this grill - wondering if anyone has used it and if you have pictures of it installed.....Looks like a cheap alternative to an '05 grill - just needs paint.
I actually have one of those GRILLS in the paint shop now getting painted for my Excursion. I like them.
They can be bought from PERSHINGAUTO.COM/ (You can do an internet search for Pershing Auto Body Parts) for 42.50 delivered to your front door. They are listed as 99-04 F-250 Grill.
Perfect fit for the Excursion and includes new clips. It took me about 4 minutes to install mine. These grills make the front end look massive.
Thanks guys - I think this is the way I'm going to go. Don't want to do an '05 conversion but need to paint my grill anyway. I like the crossbars much better than the honeycomb.
Rob - I like the look - that picture made the decision for me. Thank you!
Urbanxx - thanks for the tip - that price is much better!

Rep points to you both! Man I love this forum!
Good choice, you'll like it!!
I sold my EX grill on e-bay for $30 or so too!!

One of the firsts mods I did with my 2000 was to put a Super Duty grill on it. After the wreck I bought one of those and painted it (and the XL front bumper I got) body color.
If Ford would have put that grill on from the beginning and positioned the Excursion as an F-250 Crew Wagon or something, it may still be alive today.
I was going to go that route too - but didn't like the all white look when I saw other pics of it - plus I found a good deal on the 05 grill. But for an Ex with color, I would say go for it!
thats my kind of fix. now i just need to replace my tow hooks. my X was towed behind an RV and my tow hooks got replaced with a tow bar which i'm going to take off and put tow hooks back on.
