Its going good. Hey I need your help. I hope your good at Math. I need to know..... If I spend 2 K in mods on the 6.4 to get my MPG from 11 to 17 how long will it take to pay off the 2k in fuel savings?

Okay, hope this makes sense as I am drinking a glass of wine right now
I am just assuming you have a 38gal tank so if that is the case then at 11mpg you are only going to get 418 miles per tank. At 17 mpg you will get 646 miles per tank.
If fuel stays at $2.50 a gal it will take you 25,000 miles to break even with the $2000 you are going to spend in mods. If you stayed at 11mpg it would take you 60 fill ups to get to 25,000 and at 17 mpg it would only be 39 fill ups.
The difference between 60 and 39 fill ups at $2.50 a gal is $1995.00.
It might be hard to calculate because of the current economy and Government. You never can predicate what fuel prices will do over a couple of year period. As fuel prices go up, so do your savings though, and that would be my selling point to them.
edit- Looks like Cris has you covered. Remeber that everything after that initial payback is a plus!
