Sounds great! Can't beat that kind of business. Glad to see you're staying busy man. Maybe the economy is starting to pick back up a little. That VW is a nice car and that mileage is fantastic!

Yeah, economy seems to be a bit better here now, but it's still got so far to go. I used to submit a bid on the job and get it the same day, now I am waiting, often fighting against multiple contractors to get the job. The last job I got, and I quote, was because "you have an honest face, we trust you." lol. well, whatever works...

Yeah, really. Take 'em however you can get 'em. Hey, if "honest face" works, go with it man. No doubt your craftsmanship reputation probably preceeds you too and that's got to help. Kudos bro'! As long as the work keeps coming, that's all you can ask for!

My brother is driving the tires off that VW!!! It's perfect. We did replace the timing belt (thanks for the advice Dan) and he's getting 44-45MPG with it. Should have kept it for myself.... Great car. In fact, the customer of mine I bought it from, is the one that wants one of the decks built. 45' long and 24' out from the house, sunk in hot tub, lights all around, clear cedar railings and composite decking. Oh, then a 12x12 pergola over the hot tub. ka-ching!!!!!!!!!!!!!$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Thats good to hear. That deck sounds like a nice place to have a party

You got it! I'm only 30, but been in business for 7 years now, and in the trades one way or another since I was about 14-15. Craftmanship is something I pride myself in, no doubt. I've had some really awesome teachers/mentors. One guy from Hawaii was the best, he just had a great work ethic and could frame a home like no other. We got to be very good friends and thats where the confidence came from to get started. He's framing in Kuaui right now...maybe I should go see him...

Thats great Chris, good for her. Glad you had a good time.

I wouldnt mind seeing Fl though...Im sure there is plenty of cool stuff there.

Yeah the dinner parties, the deck and pool parties, those all create more work. I'm meeting my banker tomorrow to discuss having the bank interior remodeled. Met him on another job having a beer. I handed him a corona, we started talking, there ya go....easy as pie!

That aint gonna happen but I bet there will be a lot of over time involved to try to get it out.
Yall folks be good and ill catch yall this evening.
