HAHA, at first I thought that was a pic of Mattie!
How is she doing with her allergies?
Pretty close. That dog is an Olde English Bulldogge just like Mattie, different spots though. She can only have venison and yams so, it'd be mean to put cheetohs on her and then not let her eat them.
She's doing ok. She's not chewing on her feet, and her ears aren't infected. However, her paws are still rust-colored, which is a side-effect of the allergies. So I dunno what to think. She is off all the meds except the anti-histamine, so I'm not sure if that is just containing the allergic reaction, or if the food trial is working.
Overall, though, the improvement with her is miraculous. She's lost some weight though, and with Mattie that isn't a good thing. She's always been on the skinny side. Before the food trials started I had actually gotten her to gain some weight. Now she is on strictly Venison and Yams, no fat in her diet really. We're feeding her more than the recommended amount and she is still too skinny.
