Help save my truck
Good to hear from you.
First, "snake oil" implies that what I am saying is not true.
The Blue Diamond is a full synthetic oil...not a blend like most of the stuff on the market...it is a little pricey but well worth it for the results. It alone goes a long way to solving the stiction issue with this engine.
Furthermore, utilizing the bypass filter delivers the results that we claim. We have customers already on the road using it.
So implying that I am not truthful here again is wrong.
As far as the Hot Shot's Secret goes...it was tested by International and found to correct the number one problem with the 6.0, stiction due to oxidation from the searing of the oil by the injectors.
Should I be concerned about being proud of the fact that we sell good products that do what we say, are tested and approved and deliver results time and time again?
Especially when we pay a premium to this site to have this privilege?
I hope not.
Please tell me where I have misrepresented anything?
Best Regards,
Dan
I apologize "Synthetic Snake Oil"
I wanted to fill in a few gaps here. Dan is friend of mine that is helping with some of the threads. I understand what your saying about seeing him on several threads. I asked him to start 3 threads introducing 3 products that I think are perfect for the Ford 6.0. I have been doing field service work all week but I am here now and I want to answer as much as I can. BTW Dan is a good guy and helps me out with this stuff for free. He is not as technically literate as some of you and he is not a Lube engineer, but he calls me on the road and reads some of these to me and I tell him what the answer is, so take it easy on him. He is just trying to help.
I do have test on the trucks that have gone 50k. I will get them posted on here for your review. The bottom line facts go something like this:
No major oil company makes a full PAO synthetic oil- I checked.
Our Synthetic Oil will last for a million miles-that's right- but heres the catch
It will be dirty at about 10,000 miles
The additives will be depleted at about 50,000 miles
So what I have been doing for Super Duty owners is the same thing I have been doing for small fleets and coal mines for 12 years. Use synthetic with a 1 micron bypass and test the oil every 10,000 miles. My oil analysis will look better at 25,000 miles than your rotella looks at 7500. At 50,000 the adds start to look a little week so we readditize if the owner wants to keep going.
The viscocity of the oil is fine even at 150,000 miles. What is important to know about all this is that is not really all that new or exotic. It has been done on big equipment for decades. Most pickups use so little oil that it hasn't really been worth the investment for them to mess with it. But now the dynamics have changed. Pickups are more expensive, and people want to hold onto them longer.
Bottom line it that you can have the best synthetic in world and the best bypass system keeping you oil clean for less money than your current system of changing oil every 5,000 or 7,500 miles. I have a customer in Ohio that has 505,000 miles on his 7.3 changing oil every 50,000 to 60,000. He said th olny thing he has done to the truck is change brakes, battery and clutch plate. I will post the link to his analysis.
I will try to give more on this later.
