My 6.0 keeps going into limp mode. The water in the fuel light and the glow plug light comes on and the truck goes to limp mode. I have changed the fuel water sensor as per Ford. Still does it. I have changed the fuel fillters. Opened the drain on the fuel water seperator. It mostly does it when the truck is cold. But has done it after it gets to temp. Please help.

 

Sounds like you found a tankful of bad fuel..... either run that crap out and try again..... change fuel filters and clean the sensor AGAIN after you get rid of that bad fuel. Oh yeah....don't buy fuel there again!

 

I let the tank run almost empty. Went to another fuel store. Cleaned the sensor twice. Still is doing it. Thanks for responce.

 

Does the fuel go to the drain valve then the fuel filter? If so is there any aftermarket fuel filter kit to keep junk out of the drain reservoir?
