I have not messed much with the fuel filter. I will have to check out the ports to see what I will need to put a pressure gauge there.

No you cannot. When you open the drain valve, it also opens a vent port just above it.
It's function is to allow air into the filter housing to displace the fuel that is draining out.
If you try and test pressure with the vent open, all you will get is a soaking down of fuel on top of the engine with fuel jetting out of that vent hole.

Thanks Kwik. I have not had the chance to check this out yet. I have the old girl parked at the moment until I can solve this problem and have resurrected the Old Taurus. Damn it still runs as good as before after blowing the carbon out of it while being chased by a Challenger. Damned old Dodge did not have a chance.
