i run ford motorsport plug wires and they are better than the msd ones i have on my 390 but you can't beat MSD for caps and rotors or ignition boxes as far as i'm concerned they also make really nice pro billet dissys just make sure to check and make sure the gear is pinned on before you put it in the motor mine was not and i couldn't figure out why i couldn't get the timing set right lol

Most durable would have to go to Motorcraft.

Go Motorcraft on the wires, cap, and rotor. They will last longer than the MSD stuff and perform as good or better.

alright what 1994 F250: 351, C6 said is just wrong i am POSITIVE the MSD wires have less OHMs per foot than motorcraft wires and the msd cap and rotor are made out of Rynite, i beleive motorcraft ones are made from Thermoplastic. rynite has less conductivity than thermoplastic meaning that it will keep the spark going to the correct wires and is just by far a better material.

The OP did say "most durable". Those race brand products are not designed for longevity. Motorcraft IS the way to go if you're looking for a longer lasting, more reliable ignition system.

when was the last time you have ever had an MSD cap wear out? personally i have been running a MSD pro billet distributor with an MSD cap and wires and i have had no problems with wear in the past 5 years

i will give you that the msd boxes are so unreliable that nascar runs two in their race cars incase one breaks

MSD is for hi performance...If its just a stocker the motorcraft is ok...There is a reason most pepole who race them use MSD .. Lew
