I went and drove my truck today to see if it is still has the CPS problem. It seems to be fixed. I drove for about 20mi and tried my wipers at all speeds and it didn't do it once. The other day it did it almost instantly. I hope that is all it was. thanks for all your help.
First, the AC compressor is on in every position except vent only (one click to the left of off), off, and floor heat only. In every other switch position, the compressor runs.
That is Very Interesting! I always thought something was wrong w/ my truck because the A/C compressor would cycle on normal Heat settings and I tow everyday and didn't want the power loss. Im gonna try the other selections on the **** to keep the compressor off...Cool! This was driving me nuts for a long time
Have any of you had your windshield replaced? My wife's Expedition had a windshield replacement and there was a tiny leak down the passenger compartment side of the fire wall. It would get wet when it rained and all kinds of weird things would happen.
This is the first thought that came to my mind when reading the original post.

I haven't noticed any water getting inside the truck I will check that today. I am glad I am not the only one having this problem. Now lets put our heads together and figure this out.
You really want to get this fixed.
Here in Seattle with it's wet marine climate what happens is the condensation builds up on the INSIDE OF THE printed circuits and turns the whole circuit board corroded like a bad battery post. The outside of the box looks ok, but if you take the cover off, it is all green and moldy looking, like it's been bathed in salt water.
In this climate the tell-tale sign is dew on the inside of the window in the morning.
If I see that on any of my cars I start dealing with it right away because it will head off a lot of very much more expensive repairs later on.
I am not getting water inside at all. just on the outside. where do I check for corrosion? I want to check anyway just in case. But ever since I had the sensor changed, it stopped having the problem. But now I am hearing about how the recall sensor cause trucks to run rough. I hope that doesn't happen to me.
