fun things done to my 99 SD thanks to FTE
was thinking tonight of some of the things i have done to my 99 SD and wanted to thank this forum for the ideas
07 headlights
silver star clear/amber signal bulbs
fog light with brights on mod

04 harley front bumper valance
04 harley chrome tow hooks

04 18 in wheels

monsta you are one of my insparations!!
anyway as you may know the inside of early SD didnot have muc light, only the dome light, so i got some lic plate lights and mounted them under the dash on both sides and hooked them to the dome light
this fills the foot wells with a soft light and makes it as to see anything you may have there
i did it before leds and since have tried leds in there place but the extra white light the put out made the dome light look to dull. i think good old incadescent light still has its place and looks good in the interior.
i have used led dome lights but the are a little harsh looking
am going to put led strips under my door pockets soon to light up the running boards when you get out. i have experimented with them and it is good look
when doing lighting i find it works best to hook them up to a power source with a long wire and then experiment with location at night to see how they look first
then install the next day
