All good points Pete, but I still question the value (return on investment) for the Diesel Site 203 stat. I might call an IH dealer today to see if they offer a 203 stat and at what price just for grins.
That's a good thought, Chase. If I remember the story correctly, IH should have the higher temp stat because it was Ford's choice to use what they already had as stock items for the lower temp stat - trying to maintain minimum inventory requirements and associated inventory accounting costs, etc.
... then again, I did not research the history myself, so I can only say that "it's what I've read".
