hey guys, I have a major problem. I can't get my truck to start. It cranks over fine, oil is good, batts are good, was plugged in over night, but will not even try to start. I tried a squirt of starting fluid, but will only sput for a second. Did a code scan and came up with p0113 and p0475. I have a dp tuner that i run on 80 econ. I disconnected the tuner and still no start. I have fuel to the filter, but that seems to be it. My gpr is working fine and my fuel pump is also working. I am stumped, and need some help. The truck has 150,000 mi and ran great the day before, but now nothing. Any ideas? I could use some help. thanks, Chris.
I'd double check the batteries and connections. If voltage drops too low, the IDM won't fire the injectors. Have you tried unplugging the ICP sensor to see if it started then?
Do yourself a favor, yous eem to have check all electrical, try this. Open up the Fuel filter and get someone (if wifey is around) to turn the key on, don't start it just see if you are getting fuel to the filter on the engine (watch your eyes). In addition, listen to see if you hear a hum from coming from the frame rail under the driverside door. If you are not getting any fuel coming into the resevoir of the filter, and no hum, more than likely it is your fuel pump. Due to the cold we have benn having something may have affect the pump....
How about your fuses? #30 30amp fuse I think, goes out often when the fuel bowl heater is shot. If the fuse is blown disconnect the fuel bowl heater connection, replace fuse and try and start.
I have fuel to the bowl. I drained it, the turned the key with the valve open, and plenty of fuel came out. My problem is no fuel is going to the motor. The truck had no problem starting when it was 6 outside. It didn't start yesterday when it was 40.
If the fuse is blown, unplug the heater on the fuel filter housing before installing a new fuse. What happens is the heater element in the filter housing shorts out blowing the fuse. Another sign of this happening is if the WTS light doesn't come on when you hit the ignition.
When trying to start, is their white smoke coming out of the exhaust?
