This may or may not help.

I have found cold medicine to be about as effective as a good shot of Jack Daniels in the evening. Except the cold medicine is less enjoyable.

Hope you get to feeling better.

It seems to me I have had a continuous cold ever since i came to Virginia. I think I have tried everything:

Ignore it, maybe it will get bored and move on to someone that gets really bent out of shape about it.

Drown it, use the improved two-hats theory I call "three boots" (no longer one of my options, but it didn't work anyway). Hang your boots upside down on your bed posts and drink until you see a third one in between 'em...

Be more cussed than the bug that's bothering you. You may not get well, but if you work with a bunch of smartasses they'll take the hint and leave you alone!

Vitamin 'C' loading. This may have helped, but if you don't like sour chewable tablets it can suck. Fortunately I can eat them like candy.

MEXICAN vitamin 'C' - the theory being that raising the acid levels in your body makes it difficult for bugs and viruses to survive. Jalapeno's, Tabasco peppers, hot yellow chili's, and you name it in mass quantities... (This one is not for gringo's, they won't be able to stay outta the bathroom!)

See a doctor. This works for one cold, but then another one will come along.

It remains to be seen if my final option is going to make any difference - it is to MOVE THE HELL AWAY FROM THE AREA GIVING ME ALL THESE COLDS. Who knows - it could all have an environmental cause. But in the absolute final analysis, I think that more than anything else I'm allergic to the NAVY.

~ And I can't fix that for another eighteen months, mano.

I used to have "colds" etc but I found out they were just allergies. I haven't had a cold in... I can't remember:-)

Some simple precautions:
WASH YOUR HANDS! -Often! You don't have to be like "Monk" tho...
Never touch your nose, eyes, mouth, unless you have just washed your hands.
Hold your breath when people sneeze or cough, don't take a breath and hold it, just quit breathing, let the "mist" clear.

Thanks for using FTE!

What if he is still holding his breath?

Eric,
Maybe you should let him know when he start breathing again?
