Ford Remote Start

I called the Technical Assist. number on the manual yesterday afternoon and found out that I have the Gold level remote start.
They guys also told me to check and make sure the relay for the PATS system was getting constant power. If not, then there's my problem. He also mentioned that when using the keys for first steps, to make sure they are about 3 feet from the ignition when not in the ignition. The system may be picking up the signal from the first key used and not reading the second one.
I have not tried this yet, but will work some more on it this weekend.
